Student Spotlight Class of '25: I chose Sandhills because this is a community where I can embrace my passion for
learning while reaching towards my future career of becoming a medical scientist.
The staff and professors here are approachable and offer any support or assistance
needed. I want to leave my mark on this world by impacting healthcare in the United
States and I desire to work with other scientists to develop treatments and medicines
for several autoimmune diseases. Potential students should choose Sandhills because
it is an amazing community college full of great people and excellent programs. If
anyone living in the region is searching for a perfect community college, Sandhills
is a perfect place to be! Learn more about an Associate in Science degree.

Alumni Spotlight Class of '24: “I love everything about Sandhills Community College - I loved that it was only fifteen
minutes away from home, a luxury that I really miss at Pembroke as I am now an hour
away from home. Secondly, I love the faculty. Especially coach Alicia Riggan. It is
because of her that I met my best friend Aydan Bullard, who is on the beach volleyball
team. At UNC-Pembroke, I am a history major with a double minor in legal studies and
criminal justice where I am so excited to be in the drumline by playing cymbals in
The Spirit of Carolinas marching band!” Learn more about an Associate in Arts degree.
