USGA Greenkeeper Apprenticeship Program – Golf Course Technician

Our program is perfect for students who want to accelerate their career in the golf course maintenance industry. This one-year professional development experience combines hands-on classroom instruction with on-the-job training.

  • Gain a strong foundation in turfgrass and soils science, fertility, pest, & water management, rules of golf, and leadership skills.
  • Receive practical, in-class instruction to determine if a career in the turfgrass industry is the right fit for you.
  • Work as an apprentice at a local golf course under the mentorship of a leader in the field to gain valuable experience and connections, all while earning an income as a full-time employee!
