Why Do I Need a Student ID?
Each student is required to obtain an SCC Student ID card each academic year. Students are required to carry their student ID card with them at all times while on the Sandhills Community College campus. Cards will be needed to utilize the library, and engage in student activities. In addition, many area merchants provide Sandhills students with discounts and your student ID card will be needed to take advantage of these discounts.
Main Campus: Student IDs are made in Dempsey Student Center once students have registered for the new semester. View our campus maps.
Hoke Center: Student ID’s are made in Upchurch Hall. Sandhoke Early College students MUST get their IDs made at the Hoke Center.
In order to get your student ID, you must provide either of the following:
1. Government Issued ID (Ex. State Driver’s License or Identification, Passport, Military ID.)
OR
2. First and Last Name, Last 4 digits of your Social Security Number, Date of Birth, and Sandhills Student ID Number.
You will not be able to get a student ID without one of the two options.
For students who do not have a social, the college has an alternate way of verifying identity.
