The mission of the Small Business Center at Sandhills Community College is to increase the success rate and numbers of viable small businesses in North Carolina by providing high quality, readily accessible assistance to entrepreneurs, prospective and existing small business owners leading to job creation and retention.
The NC Community College’s Small Business Center Network (SBCN) is #1 in the US in the number of business seminars presented and participants it assisted in 2017. The SBCN also assists in starting an average of 700 businesses each year. Small Business Centers have an economic impact in 90% of NC counties, helping to create and retain nearly 3,800 jobs annually.
Seminars, Workshops & Certificates
The Small Business Center offers seminars, workshops and certificates targeted to the needs of small business owners and start-ups at no cost to participants. Our programs are funded by a grant from the NC Legislature.
Counseling & Assistance
We offer free one-on-one counseling in the Center and assistance or referrals to other appropriate agencies for further counseling.
We share access to resources to help get your business started or to assist in growing your business. We are in the business of making sure your small business thrives!
Professional networking with local chambers of commerce, economic developers, volunteer consultants, and other business groups and professionals enables the SCC SBC to help you get connected in the community.
