The Writing Lab

The Writing Lab at Sandhills Community College is dedicated to helping students succeed in all written academic disciplines. When working with The Writing Lab, students may bring any form of written assignment—essays, discussion forums, research papers, lab reports, and more—to receive assistance with their project.  A tutor from The Writing Lab will gladly help students review and revise their papers every step of the way, from start to finish.

The Writing Lab is located in 124 Logan Hall. In-person hours for the Spring and Fall semesters are 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. No appointment is necessary. 

The Writing Lab is open during the Summer semester for virtual appointments only. Summer virtual appointments are offered from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. To schedule a virtual appointment, please click the link to Dr. Brittney Pond's Bookings page. Additionally, students can send an email to SCCwritinglab@sandhills.edu stating the class and assignment for which they are seeking assistance. A tutor will respond within 24 business hours.
