The Health Information Technology Curriculum provides individuals with the knowledge and skills to process, analyze, abstract, compile, maintain, manage, and report health information. This is a partner program with Pitt Community College.

Begin Your Journey 

  • Receive hands-on instruction in monitoring standards, facilitating research, and designing system controls to monitor patient information security.
  • Gain experience supervising departmental functions and coordinating information for cost control, quality management, statistics, marketing, and planning.
  • Prepare to write the national certification examination to become a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT).
