IT Credentials and Cyber Security

Our CompTIA IT Credentials and Cyber Security track of three certification preparation courses can be taken in any order; although, this track is designed to be taken in the logical order of A+ -> Network+ -> Security+, since each course builds onto the knowledge learned from the prior one.  Each course is offered as an instructor-led synchronous online class with virtual labs that can be completed over an Internet connection from the student’s computer. Class lectures are conducted three hours a night, three nights a week, for three months. These classes meet from 6:00pm – 9:00pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights exclusively online, including practice question review and scenario exercises. This gives students time from Friday to Monday to complete the hands-on labs to reinforce the course materials covered in class. Once the courseware is activated, the student will have online access to the materials and the integrated labs for a period of one year. So, after the three months of class, they can review the entire course for up to nine months afterward to make sure they are ready to take the certification exams. Since SCC is a CompTIA Academic Partner, students get the courseware at a substantial discount, and when ready, they can get exam vouchers for around half the regular price.
