24/7 Counseling Services - Student Assistance Program
Any enrolled SCC student can receive help for personal, professional, or school concerns through the Student Assistance Program (SAP). Students will be connected to a professional clinician from the first phone call.
Services are free, confidential, and available 24/7. We offer up to 3 sessions per issue for students and permanent household family members. Counseling is available by phone, virtually, or in person.

Suicide Prevention Training
The QPR one-hour Gatekeeper Training teaches you how to better recognize signs of suicide and support people in crisis. The training will cover the following topics:
- How to Question, Persuade and Refer someone who may be suicidal
- How to get help for yourself or learn more about preventing suicide
- The common causes of suicidal behavior
- The warning signs of suicide
- How to get help for someone in crisis

Self-Help Screening
Take a confidential questionnaire to determine if you or someone you care about should connect with a behavioral health professional.
Online screening tools are not diagnostic instruments. You are encouraged to share your results with a physician or healthcare provider.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - Full time employees and their dependents are eligible for up to 6 free mental health counseling sessions with a local therapist. Fill out the form and an EAP representative will contact you and triage your basic contact information. You will be contacted by a therapist in your area to set up your first appointment.
