A shorter training program designed to prepare individuals for a Registered Apprenticeship, offering a pathway to explore an industry before committing to a full apprenticeship.  Pre-Apprenticeships are also a recruitment tool businesses use for selecting apprentices, but does not commit the company to the student.

Pre-Apprenticeship Interest Application

Long-term (12-48 months), paid positions that let you earn college credit while getting valuable on-the-job skills at one company. They provide individuals with hands-on experience in high-demand industries while earning a wage and working toward industry-recognized credentials. Apprenticeships are a great way to gain valuable skills, advance your career, and connect with employers looking for skilled professionals.

Apprenticeship Opportunities at SCC

This is a 2-year apprenticeship. Apprentices will complete the following classes:

  • Office Applications I

  • Principles of Financial Accounting

  • Principles of Managerial Accounting

  • Intro to ACC Spreadsheets

  • Federal Income Taxes

  • Payroll Accounting

  • Accounting Software Applications

  • Acct Spreadsheet Applications

  • Practices in Bookkeeping

  • Entrepreneurship I

This is a 3-year apprenticeship. Apprentices will complete the classes leading to the Construction Management Technology associate degree.

This is a 2-year apprenticeship. Apprentices will complete classes leading to the one of the Early Childhood Education associate degree programs.

This is a 2-year apprenticeship. Apprentices will complete the classes leading to the Applied Science Early Childhood  Education - Non-Teaching Licensure Transfer associate degree.

  • NCCER Core and Career Safe OSHA 10
  • Electrical Level 1
  • Electrical Level 2
  • Electrical Level 3
  • Manufacturing Fundamentals (online class)
  • Manufacturing Applications (online class)

This is a 1-year apprenticeship. Apprentices will complete the following classes:

  • Essential Employability Skills
  • Basic Computing Skills Class 
This is a 1-year apprenticeship. Apprentices will complete the following classes:
  • NCCER Core and Career Safe OSHA 10 
  • Blueprint Reading
  • Manufacturing Fundamentals 
This is a 4-year apprenticeship. Apprentices will complete the following classes:
  • Welding Workshop Skills 
  • Manufacturing Fundamentals (online class)
  • NCCER Core and Career Safe OSHA 10
  • Career Academy Achieving Workplace Success (Durability Skills)
  • Welding Level 1
  • Welding Level 2
