Medical Assisting
The Medical Assisting program is set up in three sections Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3-Clinical/Practicum. You will learn both the front and back-office skills needed to become a Medical Assistant and take the credentialing exam. The program will take approximately 7 months to complete. Then you will be on your way to a rewarding career!

On campus: 2 Days a week 8:30a.m.-3:30p.m. (30 minute lunch)
It will either be a Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday
Online: 13 hours of online self-paced work to complete each week. (Reading assignments, quizzes, discussion posts, projects, practice)
The program is divided into three sections:
- Part 1 – 12 weeks
- Part 2 – 10 weeks
- Part 3 – Clinical/Practicum (160 hours)
Duration: Approx. 7 months

Upon the recommendation of the Medical Assisting Education Review Board (MAERB). Graduates
of CAAHEP accredited medical assisting program may be eligible to sit for the American
Association of Medical Assistants’ (AAMA) Certification Examination to become Certified
Medical Assistants, CMA (AAMA).
