Technology course topics range from the most basic information for the absolute beginner to highly technical skills needed in the workplace.

Whatever your stage in computer use, your classmates will be right there with you. Have fun, make new friends and learn to use computers and technology.

MICROSOFT

Windows 10-Level 1

Learn the Windows 10 operating system. Discover Windows applications, terminology, and Start Menu functions as well as operational basics. Students should have access to the Windows 10 operating system.

Windows 10-Level 2

Enhance your Windows 10 skills. Discover how to use the Action Center and the All Settings screen, how to customize your Desktop, set up and use virtual desktops, creating folders for basic file management, and how to use File Explorer. A brief introduction to email and the Windows Store will be covered, as well as how to update Windows 10 and keep it safe. Prerequisite: Windows 10 Level 1 or prior experience.

Microsoft Office Overview

Learn a little of everything that Microsoft Office offers. Sessions will be on Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Publisher, and One Note.

Excel: Spreadsheets, Charts, and Graphs

This course focuses on the fundamentals of Excel 2019. You will first learn how to create fully formatted worksheets quickly and efficiently. You will then learn common formulas and functions, sorting and analyzing data, custom charts, and graphs, and how to create three-dimensional workbooks. This course also introduces you to Quick Analysis, Flash Fill, and other powerful charting tools, which are further explored in the intermediate course. CEU: 2.4

 

IT CREDENTIALS AND CYBER SECURITY

CompTIA A+ Certification Prep

First class in the series of CompTIA IT Credentials and Cyber Security track of three certification preparation courses.

CompTIA A+ is the industry standard for establishing a career in IT and the preferred qualifying credential for technical support and operational roles. Learn to troubleshoot and problem solve, better understand a wide variety of issues ranging from networking and operating systems to mobile devices and security, and build the

skills and knowledge to advance from A+ to Network+ to Security+ allowing you to complete the entire track and obtain all credentials. Each course counts toward DoD 8570 Information Assurance qualifications. CEU: 12.6

 

CompTIA Network+ Certification Prep

Second class in the series of CompTIA IT Credentials and Cyber Security track of three certification preparation courses.

CompTIA Network+ helps develop career in IT infrastructure covering troubleshooting, configuring, and managing networks. You will learn to design and implement functional networks; configure, manage, and maintain essential network devices; implement network security,

standards, and protocols; troubleshoot network problems; and support the creation of virtualized networks. This class is continuation of the IT Credentials and Cybersecurity track for the students who complete the A+ Certification course or those who already hold A+ Certification or have equivalent knowledge and experience. CEU: 12.6

CompTIA Security+ Certification Prep

Third class in the series of CompTIA IT Credentials and Cyber Security track of three certification preparation courses.

CompTIA Security+ establishes the core knowledge required of any cybersecurity role and provides a springboard to intermediate level cybersecurity jobs. It incorporates best practices in hands-on

troubleshooting to ensure practical security problem solving skills. Learn how to identify and address security incidents. This class is continuation of

the IT Credentials and Cybersecurity track for the students who complete the A+ and Network+ courses, hold these two certifications or have equivalent knowledge and experience. CEU: 12.6
