3.3.7 Committee Role

3.3.7 Committee Role

Revised: October 1, 2012

The President reviews committee purposes and individual committee assignments each summer. The President then—with input from administrators, faculty, and staff—considers the addition of new committees or considers the dissolution of standing committees that no longer have relevance to the College mission.

The President contacts administrators, faculty, and staff members, in writing, related to committee assignments for the fall academic term. These committee assignments ensure that faculty and staff have a direct role in the development, review, and revision of academic and service programs of the College in fulfilling the mission of the College. The blending of faculty, staff and administrators to said committees ensures that all constituents of the College community have the opportunity to participate in the activities of the committee and, consequently, the planning and procedures that shape the College Strategic Plan in order to fulfill the mission in accordance with those policies approved by the Board of Trustees.
