The advising program at Sandhills Community College is designed to assist students in pursuing educational and career goals and in meeting SCC graduation requirements.

The responsibility for academic advising rests with full-time faculty and professional advising staff.  All associate of applied science degree-seeking students are assigned a faculty advisor based on indicated program interest.  Unless a change is requested by the student or the faculty advisor, the student will remain with their advisor throughout their stay at the College.  New college transfer degree seeking students are assigned an advisor within the Transfer Advising Center and transitioned to a general education faculty advisor by the end of their first year.
