The Sandhills Horticultural Gardens will host a special tree-planting ceremony to honor our nation's veterans and celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States. The commemorative gathering will bring the community together in a setting that reflects remembrance, gratitude and hope for the future.

Featured participants will include the 82nd Airborne Division Chorus; Dr. Alexander “Sandy” Stewart, president of Sandhills Community College; Tom Allen, commissioner; and Lee Bunch, director of the Sandhills Horticultural Gardens. Their participation will help make the ceremony a meaningful tribute to those who have served and sacrificed for the country.

The newly planted trees will serve as a lasting legacy of strength, service and national unity. Community members are invited to attend the ceremony, enjoy the gardens and join in recognizing America's veterans as the nation celebrates this historic anniversary.
