High school students planning to take or already registered for college courses through
Career & College Promise (CCP) Program at Sandhills Community College for Fall 2026
are invited to attend a full day of preparation and college readiness orientation.
Sandhills Orientation for Academic Readiness (SOAR), the annual orientation event
for incoming Career & College Promise (CCP) students are encouraged to attend the
day-long event to get acclimated to life as a college student at SCC. SOAR gives new
CCP students a strong, welcoming introduction to college life. Students will learn
about programs, connect with faculty and staff, take campus tours, go to info sessions,
meet fellow students and staff, learn about success tips, set up their accounts and
IDs, and gain confidence as they begin their journey at Sandhills.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m.
(Students only need to attend one session.)
