First Time User or Forgot Password
New SCC accounts require 4 steps (some of those steps have multiple parts!).
- STEP 1: Acceptable Use Policy. Read the policy, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click “I have read and understand the acceptable use policy”.
- STEP 2: Create your account.
- You will need:
- your username sent with your college acceptance (recover your username),
- last four digits of your social security number
- and your date of birth.
- Choose and enter your password following the rules listed on that screen.
TIP: You should save your password in a secure location in case you forget it or need to reset it.

- STEP 3: When you first log into your SCC webmail, you will need to complete the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
NOTE: Your SCC student webmail address will be username@mail.sandhills.edu. - STEP 4: You should also set up Password Recovery when you first log in.
