MFA for iPhone Users
If you are using the Microsoft Outlook app or checking your Sandhills email from the college webpage you are good to go; HOWEVER, if you have been using the generic Mail application on your iPhone, you are strongly encouraged to download the Microsoft Outlook app from the Apple Store or use the Web client from the Sandhills webpage. These applications are more secure than the generic email app on your iPhone.
If this message has been received, you will need to set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on your Mail account(Office 365) and then use the applications suggested above. If you choose to continue to use the generic iPhone Mail application, you will need to follow the instructions below.
If you already have your Sandhills email set up on the Mail app on your iOS device, you’ll need to remove your existing account first.
If not set-up, click here for instructions on how to set up two-step verification with Mail for iOS.
Remove your existing Mail Account
- On your iOS device, tap to open the Settings app.
- Tap Passwords & Accounts for iOS 13.x or lower OR tap Mail for iOS 14.x or higher.
- Tap Accounts.
- Tap on your Sandhills email account. (Name’s set to Exchange by default unless otherwise changed)
- At the bottom, tap on Delete Account.
- You will be prompted to confirm the deletion. Although the data is being removed from your phone, your Mail, Contacts, Calendars,
Reminders, and Notes are saved to your Office 365 account and will sync back to your
