Job Summary
The athletic department work study will be an integral part of our department running smoothly. They will help run cameras and broadcast production equipment. They may be asked to take up money at the gate or in concessions. They may also do some writing on contributing to stories on our athletics website. Some of the work will take place at night and on weekends. Including potential work when other students are out of school for holidays.
Essential Functions
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Primary Duties:
- Assist in game broadcasts.
- Assist with media coverage of athletic events and practices.
- Run a concession stand.
- Run a ticket window.
- Interact with attendees and deliver a great first impression to all who come to athletic events.
Minimum Qualifications
- Commitment to core value of helpfulness
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn point of sale software
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and understanding of the games of basketball and volleyball.
- Desire to pursue a potential career in sport or sport related field.
Working Conditions
Majority of the time will be spent inside or in covered area. Must be able to lift 0-15lbs.

Job Summary
Working with the Maintenance department. Will be helping with grounds department with landscape work. Will also help with moving tables and chairs for events.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Primary Duties:
- Helping with Maintenance department landscape work, moving furniture, and helping with setups for events.
Minimum Qualifications
- Able to follow directions, listen and communicate to supervisor and all employees.
Preferred Qualifications
- Driver License
- Able to use hand tools
- Someone that is out going individual that wants to learn how a maintenance department works
Working Conditions
Mostly outdoors work. Be able to stand bend and be on feet most of the time. There will be times of moving furniture and tables and chairs to help setup for events.

Job Summary
The primary goal of this position is to tutor students in areas of public speaking, professional communication, and other communication skills. The Speaking Lab Tutor will provide relevant tutoring services students in person, through email, and online using our virtual communication platform. This student would be expected to demonstrate quality communication skills and evidence-based techniques pursuant to effective tutoring and coaching. The ideal candidate would be able to work independently during tutoring sessions and cooperatively with fellow Speaking Lab staff.
Essential Functions
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Primary Duties:
- Tutor students in areas of public speaking, professional communication, and other communication skills
- Complete orientation training and periodic professional development
- Perform regular office duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of COM 231 with a B or higher; a letter of recommendation from your COM 231 instructor must be submitted with your application
- Commitment to core value of helpfulness, excellence, and opportunity
- Interest in coaching and tutoring public speaking, professional communication, and other communication skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Computer and technology literacy, including use of video recording and replay
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of COM 120 and/or BUS 260 with a B or higher
- Effective interpersonal and intercultural communication skills

Considerable time is spent at a desk using a computer terminal

Job Summary
We are in need of a student worker to help out in the visual arts department. The student worker will help clean and help maintain different areas of the art department. The worker/s will work closely with the visual arts department professors in a vibrant creative atmosphere.
Essential Functions
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Primary Duties
Sweeping, mopping, cleaning, unloading kilns, help maintain machines, dusting, cutting paper, making posters, promoting shows, gallery set up, gallery take down, and a variety of other creative jobs along the way.
Minimum Qualifications
- Able to lift 10-40 pounds
- Able to use simple hand tools such as drills, sanders, and saws
- Able to use photoshop or equivalent software
- Detail oriented
Working Conditions
At times messy and dusty, prepare to get dirty when working. Most works wear aprons or have a change of clothes on days that we are painting/etc.
