Learn to Earn Greater Earning Power, Greater Opportunities Image

“The more you learn, the more you earn.” -Warren Buffett

Learn to Earn at Sandhills Community College. Maybe you need to train for employment as fast as a few months. Or maybe you want to earn a technical certificate, diploma, or degree in a year or two, or save tens of thousands of dollars in earning a bachelor’s degree by beginning with us and transferring; we can help you arrive where you see your future self.

New Students-Curriculum/College-Credit Programs

Both the 16-week semester and first eight-week session begin on August 15. The second eight-week session begins on October 12.

First step: Apply to attend SCC here. We will then help you set up your student account and register for classes.

Second Step: Apply for financial aid here. Don’t assume you won’t qualify. You will only know if you apply. To receive funds in hand to pay fall semester tuition, you need to submit this by July 14. After that date you can still apply, but completion by July 14 assures that your application will be processed in time.

Returning Students-Curriculum/College-Credit Programs

We suggest you meet with an advisor and make sure you are on track with classes that lead to the credential you are working toward. Or you can register for classes using Self Service.

If you have been away from SCC for more than 15 months, you will need to reapply. Check here for information.

Continuing Education-Short-Term Training

If you need to train for a new job even faster, consider our Continuing Education classes. They begin throughout the semester, and some are even offered during the evenings a few nights a week.

Financial assistance is also available for our Continuing Education classes. Information is available here.
