Apollo 11: Man on the Moon 50th Anniversary

As part of the 50^th anniversary commemoration of one of the major historic events of the 20^th-Century, the Boyd Library at Sandhills Community College is presenting an exhibit titled, “Apollo 11: Man on the Moon.”  The exhibit can be viewed during library hours during the month of July.  Visitors can view period newspapers, Look and Life magazines, NASA photographs and commemorative postal envelopes and stamps.

As part of the exhibit, there will be a reception in the library on Tuesday, July 23 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.  The 2019 movie, “Apollo 11,” will be shown (93 minutes).  Moon-pies and Tang will be served in addition to regular baked goods and drinks.
