Fire and Rescue Training
Sandhills Community College offers training for volunteer and professional fire fighters and rescue personnel at departments in Moore and Hoke Counties.
Training & Certification
Training consists of in-service training as well as proving state certification through the Office of the State Fire Marshal in North Carolina. Examples of classes are live burn training, arson detection, and hazardous materials classes. We also offer certification programs. All instructors are certified through the state of North Carolina; most hold professional or volunteer status with vast experience in fire and rescue.

High School Fire Fighter Academy
Offered in Hoke and Moore Counties.
This one-year program will prepare high school students to take the NC Department of Insurance and Fire and Rescue Commission Firefighter Certification Exam.
Upon successfully completing this Continuing Education course, students can apply the credits toward the Associate in Applied Science in Fire Protection Technology degree.
