- PEMBROKE OFFERS GUARANTEED ADMISSION TO SANDHILLS COMMUNITY COLLEGE
-
The University of North Carolina at Pembroke Office of Admissions announces our new guaranteed admission policy for transfer students from community colleges in North Carolina. The University of North Carolina at Pembroke offers guaranteed admission to any transfer student who graduates with an A.A. or A.S. degree with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. This policy also applies to students who wish to enter the UNC Pembroke at Sandhills Community College program, although students with a lower grade point average are encouraged to apply. Students who wish to enter the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and have earned either the A. A. in Business Administration or the A.A.S. in Business Administration degree with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher are also guaranteed admission as are students who wish to enter the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program after earning the A.A.S in Nursing degree. In addition, UNCP will also waive these students' application fee.
Admissions Counselors Available
As always, we continue to welcome students with cumulative grade point averages of 2.0 or higher. We encourage students at various stages within the transfer process to visit our campus for a counseling session with one of our admissions counselors. Transfers with the A.A. or A. S. degree or the A.A.S. in Business Administration will matriculate as juniors, and their general education requirements will be considered complete.
Commitment to Serving Transfer Students - The North Carolina Comprehensive Articulation Agreement assures that Sandhills degree program will transfer to UNC schools. At UNCPembroke, we want to make the transfer process as easy as possible, and we make a special commitment to serve transfer students effectively from our personal attention in the classroom to our high-quality, individualized advising. Our guaranteed admission policy is just one more way that we welcome and accommodate transfer students.
