Youth Summer Camps at SCC

Camp buddies!Parents can help their kids make the most of the summer by registering them into one or more of the new youth enrichment opportunities at Sandhills Community College. Students will be able to explore one of the foremost community college campuses in the state while participating in a wide range of programs from sports to technology.
These fun, safe and high quality programs are offered through the Athletic Department and the Continuing Education Division. Registration has begun and classes are limited as to number of participants.
Athletics Camps
Athletics will include volleyball for girls grades 4-8 and 9-12, boys and girls basketball for rising 3-9 grades and girls and boys multi-sports camps for rising 3-9 grades. The multi-sports camps will offer early drop-off at 7:30 am and late pick up until 5:30 pm. All information can be found and registration can be carried out at

Youth Enrichment Camps
For the enrichment programs offered through Continuing Education, students ages 8-14 years old can choose from topics including app and video game design, cooking, visual arts, drama & theater, and equestrian.
If your child loves to play video games or enjoy new apps, then they will love the technology classes.  These engaging programs will have your kids creating apps and designing video games with high tech, interactive software only available at Sandhills Community College.
For your young artist or inspiring drama & theater fan, Sandhills has partnered with the Arts Council of Moore County to offer a full line-up of visual arts, drama and theater classes that will inspire young artists to bring out their personal best.
Sandhills will offer unique and creative visual arts class for girls ages 12-17 that will help them improve self confidence and build resilience through creative writing, art journaling and dynamic group discussion in a supportive peer group environment.
For horse lovers, Sandhills has partnered with two outstanding trainers and riding facilities to provide hours of equisterian fun.
And for those who like to spend their time in the kitchen, Sandhills has whipped up two culinary courses for kids and their favorite adult. They will enjoy sweet and savory quality time in the kitchen with Chef Fiona McKenzie.

To register, call (910) 695-3980 from 8-5 p.m. Monday through Thursday or 8-4 p.m. on Friday. Credit card payments accepted over the phone and cash, check, credit cards and money orders accepted in person in the Continuing Education registration office located on the first floor of Van Dusen Hall.
