Obtaining a Tutor

Our free online and traditional tutoring services are available for academic success. To start the process of working with a tutor, click here, or come by the Kelly Tutoring Center in 115 Logan Hall.

Becoming a Tutor

The Kelly Tutoring Center encourages students and individuals in the community to become tutors. Many of our volunteer tutors are local retirees with a passion for a subject area or employment experience in a specific field.

Students who would like to become a tutor must have a GPA of 3.0 or better, earned at least a “B” in the course, and be referred by an instructor.

The first step in becoming a tutor is to complete a Sandhills Community College Employment Application.  Make sure to choose “Tutoring Center” from the Department drop down.
