During registration periods, those who have applied or current or returning students can register online through Self-Service or e-mail your assigned faculty advisor (found in Self-Service) to schedule a virtual or in-person appointment to plan and schedule your classes for the next semester.

Financial Aid Assistance

Sandhills Promise Scholarships
Sandhills awards over $900,000 each year to students who have qualified for The Sandhills Promise and through scholarships.

Sandhills Community College is one of the eight North Carolina colleges and community colleges chosen for the GEAR UP program. Through the program, a Success Coach partners with students from 36 select high schools and assists them with preparation for college and guides them as they strive to reach college goals.

Change of Major
If you need to drop a class, you can email the instructor of the class to let them know that you wish to drop. Your instructor email address can be found in the Campus Directory or on your courses’ Moodle page. Prior to dropping a course, we highly recommend that you speak with your instructor, advisor and a financial aid representative.
Once you have talked with your instructor and with a financial aid counselor and have decided to move forward with dropping the course, you can submit the “Course Change Form” through Student eForms.

Sandhills Community College has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide transcript to be ordered via the internet. Our official transcripts are processed electronically through this service. Requests can be made 24 hours a day, 7 days a week using any major credit card.

Sandhills offers free tutoring in the Kelly Tutoring Center in 119 Logan Hall and online for those who can’t come on campus. Please come by the Tutoring Center during regular office areas or phone 910.246.4138
In college, students must request disability services. They must self-identify to the Office of Disability Services (ODS) as having a disability and present appropriate documentation. Students must contact the office at the beginning of every semester that they wish to receive accommodations.

Our counselors are available to help you with academic, personal, mental, or social issues that may be interfering with your academic success. These trained professionals can respond to your concerns in an objective and nonjudgmental manner.

The Career Center
The Career Center advises prospective students, current students, and alumni by implementing career planning, offering career assessments, and life-long career plans.

The office of Student Life supports extra-curricular programming designed to supplement your courses. Academic clubs, civic and social clubs and organizations, intramural sports, leadership development, and other student activities are available.

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) prevents others from gaining access to college student records without written consent If you would like to request that a third-party have access to all or part of your student record at Sandhills, complete the FERPA Release Form and email it from your student email account to Jennifer Fields at email@example.com.
