SCC Fire Academy

Do you enjoy helping people and making a difference in your community? Sandhills Fire Academy prepares you to become a competent, confident and fully prepared fire service provider. The Academy focuses on an intense hands-on approach to firefighting at our public safety training center campus. You will receive training and instruction that promotes both skill competency and understanding of the fireground.

Certifications include:

  • Firefighter I/II
  • Hazardous Materials Ops
  • Technical Rescuer

Program incorporates EMT-Basic and prepares students to sit for the state certification exam.

Fire Academy 17 dates

July 13 – December 21
Monday-Wednesday 8:30 am-5 pm
Thursday 8:00 am-5 pm
Friday 8:00 am-4 pm

Classes at the Larry R. Caddell Public
Safety Training Center in Carthage
