Machining II Class to Begin at SCC in November

Close Up Of Apprentice Engineer Using Milling MachineIf words like milling machines, drill presses, and lathes sound like your cup of tea, then take a look at our Machining II class beginning this November. The Advanced Manufacturing department at Sandhills Community College offers high-tech, in-demand career training through state-of-the-art equipment designed to meet the growing demand for skilled workers. Through partnerships with local employers, this program aligns class offerings and curriculums to provide employers a pipeline of skilled workers with job-specific skills. These programs do not take an extended period to complete, and many students have employment lined up before graduation. We even offer job placement assistance and career coaching.

“Machining II” is designed to meet entry-level requirements for on-the-job skills. The class instructs students on the advanced operations and set-ups for drill presses, metal-cutting saws, lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
