IMPORTANT! STUDENT EMAIL CHANGES
Effective August 1, 2018, all student email addresses will be updated to an @mail.sandhills.edu address (Outlook), which is part of Microsoft Office 365. At that time, your current email account (@student.sandhills.edu) will no longer serve as the college communication contact. All official college email will be sent to your Outlook account including email from your instructors. See below for more information.
What do I need to do on August 1?
Recreate your email account by going to the MySCC page and clicking on Password Management. You will need your student number, date of birth and last four of your social.
How do I login to my new email?
After recreating your account, return to the MySCC page and click on the Student Email icon.
Are there help pages for the new email?
Yes, on August 1, help pages will be available. Go to the MySCC page, Student Support (scroll down the page), and click on Email Help (mail.sandhills.edu).
If I need something in my old email, how do I get it?
Go to the MySCC page and click on the link Legacy Email under Student Support (scroll down the page).
How long will my old email work?
Your old email address (student.sandhills.edu) will work until December 31, 2018. However, your instructors and SCC offices will communicate with you using the new Outlook account beginning August 1, 2018.
After August 1, go to the MySCC page, Student Support (scroll down the page), and click on Email Help (mail.sandhills.edu). If you have a burning question that can’t wait until then, please submit a support ticket (MySCC, Questions icon) and we will try our best to answer.
