“It Starts With a Seed!” An Eating and Growing Event
A Sandhills Farm to Table educator will talk to us about growing foods and will bring samples of food they have available. We will offer a rainbow of foods to taste. We will have 2 planting activities: Grow Microgreen Hair and Make a Germination Necklace and have take-home planting ideas for you and your child to enjoy. Our program will begin at 10:15 a.m. Since we will all be busy with planting activities, we won’t repeat our presentation, as we usually do, at 11:00 a.m. A wide variety of books will be on display for check out about foods, fruits, vegetables, and farming. We will also have a drawing for 6 new books.
It is not too early to reserve a special spot for your child. RSVP with your child’s name and age to konoldm@sandhills.edu.
