Email Help for Accounts

Effective August 1, 2018, all student email addresses were updated to addresses (Outlook), part of Microsoft Office 365. This was done to provide better access and features for students. Former email accounts ( will no longer serve as the college communication contact. All official college email will be sent to your Outlook account including email from your instructors.

How do I get my new account?

Create your email account by going to the MySCC page and clicking on Password Management. You will need your student number, date of birth and last four of your social.
NOTE: If you enter a different password from what you are using currently, that new password will apply to Moodle and WebAdvisor as well.

How do I log in to my new email?

After creating your account, return to the MySCC page and click on the Student Email icon.
IMPORTANT:  When logging into your new account you will need to use your entire email address not just your username.
ALSO IMPORTANT: Before using your new email you will need to set your time zone – English (United States) and (UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)

If I need something in my old email, how do I get it?

Go to the MySCC page and click Legacy Email under Student Support (scroll down the page).

How long will my old email work?

Your old email address ( will work until December 31, 2018. However, your instructors and SCC offices will communicate with you using the new Outlook account ( beginning August 1, 2018.
