Men of Valor and Excellence (M.O.V.E.)

M.O.V.E. is a campus organization that develops leadership in minority males by providing services, activities and encouragement tailored to the specific needs and desires of that population. Program participants attend retreats, participate in community service activities, attend personal growth workshops, participate in drug and substance abuse education, and spend quality time with faculty and community mentors. And in turn, they serve as role models for others in the community.

A major benefit for program participants is camaraderie. The weekly meetings, fund-raisers, and special events provide opportunities to form lasting friendships and to network.

The program is funded by a North Carolina Minority Male Success Initiative Grant.
