HESI A2 Appointment Instructions

Preparation

Students may take the HESI A2 exam only two times in an academic year.  If you do not achieve the necessary score, you may have to wait until the next academic year or consider an alternative program.  Therefore, preparation is vital to your success.

If you need to take English or math support classes (ENG 002, 011 or MAT 003, 043) you should complete those first.  Taking your first Anatomy & Physiology course (or Medical Terminology, if that is required in your program) will also help you prepare.  Study guides are available in the library and for sale in the SCC bookstore.

If you have any questions or concerns about whether or not you are ready to take the HESI A2 exam, please speak to your assigned academic advisor.

Request an Appointment

Seating is limited.  Appointments are made on a first-come, first-served basis.  Students who do not cancel at least 48 hours before the exam or fail to show up twice will not be permitted to request another appointment until they have met with the Director of Health Programs Student Support.

You must be a current Sandhills student OR have completed an admissions application.  You will need your Sandhills Student ID number and Sandhills Student Email Address to request an appointment.  Requests made without this information will be cancelled.  All instructions will be sent to your student email account.

If you see the message “There are no events currently scheduled”, then all available seats are full.  If a seat becomes available, the date will appear in the online registration.

New test dates are added at the beginning of each month. There are no exams in February.
