Radiography

The Radiography Curriculum prepares the graduate to be a radiographer, a skilled health care professional who uses radiation to produce images of the human body.

Course work includes clinical rotations to area health care facilities, radiographic exposure, image processing, radiographic procedures, physics, pathology, patient care and management, radiation protection, quality assurance, anatomy and physiology, and radiobiology.

In addition to the academic focus, the clinical component is a unique aspect of the program. In the clinical setting, the student learns to master skills necessary to be successful in their chosen field.‚  the clinical rotations expose students to a wide variety of clinical experiences as well as potential employers.

The Radiography Program Policy and Procedure Handbook describes the clinical aspect and other unique aspects of the Radiography program.

Additional Information

Selection is competitive and is based on scores on the HESI A2 exam.

Drug screens and background checks are required by our clinical affiliates in order to attend clinical rotations. Students with positive drug screen, criminal charges, or criminal convictions may not be able to attend clinicals, and therefore will be unable to progress within the program. Complete information regarding the procedure will be provided at the program orientation.
