Mathematics Department
The primary mission of the Department of Mathematics is to help students complete the mathematics requirements for their degree programs. Use the links under Associate Degree Programs for specific degree requirements. The department offers courses that range from introductory and refresher courses to statistics, calculus, and differential equations.
To help students begin at a level where they can succeed, a placement test or transfer credit of appropriate courses from another college is required of all students enrolling in mathematics classes. Department members also serve as advisors to assist students planning to transfer to a senior university.
