Building Construction Technology
Course Requirements
The Building Construction Technology program is a course of study that prepares students to apply technical knowledge and skills to residential and commercial building construction and remodeling.
Coursework includes instruction in construction materials and methods, site preparation and layout, construction documentation and print reading, project scheduling and estimating, surveying fundamentals, construction engineering fundamentals, framing, sustainability, and communication skills.
Employment Prospects
Construction Management Technology graduates should qualify for entry-level positions with both public and private construction, architectural and engineering agencies.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics lists the annual median pay (2020) for the following 2-year and 4-year engineering technologies related occupations between about $49,000 to $97,000.

Our Engineering and Construction Technologies graduates have several transfer opportunities available. Graduates may pursue 4-year degrees in Architectural Technology & Design, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Geomatics (Surveying) and Sustainable Building Systems.
