5.18 Faculty and Staff Grievance

Sandhills Community College seeks to provide an atmosphere wherein all employees and students are treated courteously, fairly, and with full respect. Realizing, however, that employees and students may disagree at times with the decisions of college officials, the College has developed a grievance procedure for the filing and hearing of grievances related to employment and employees. North Carolina is an “employment at-will” state, therefore, failure to receive a new contract for the upcoming academic year is not grievable.
