Ready - Register with the Student Employment Office and post your resume online at SCC Job Connection:
By registering with the Student Employment Office, you will be able to access our online database of jobs, Internships, and Coop listings via our online job board: SCC Job Connection. Also on the web site you will be able to view a list of all of our services and resources: campus events like workshops or employer recruiting visits and Job Fairs.

Aim - Planning - Before you actually begin your job search, consider what types of work are you best qualified and suited for? It is always a good practice to evaluate your potential work schedule, class schedule, transportation and how your job will impact your family.

Next you want to create an effective resume and cover letter, sharpen your interviewing skills. The Career Center staff will be glad to help you develop or critique your resume and cover letter. We also offer mock interviews to help you practice preparing for job interviews. We are always willing to help you in person, but you will also benefit from taking a few minutes to use our online resources.

Alumni: Employment Services for alumni are available for 5 years from the date of graduation. Alumni must register each year for placement services. Please keep the job placement office informed of your current contact information – name, address, phone number, and email address. It is your responsibility to make sure the information in your data file is current.
