Who are the Logans?

The Logan Bookstore is named for Emmet and Mary Logan, Pinehurst residents and long-time friends and supporters of Sandhills Community College.  Mr. Logan, a former chair of the Sandhills Community College Foundation Board, attributes his love of books to his mother's instruction to "make books his friends."  He has maintained a lifelong love of reading, which he and his wife endeavor to pass on to Sandhills students through gifts to the Logan Book Fund. Each year, they provide financial aid support to students in need through a number of scholarship programs.
