Department Overview

The purpose of the Department of Science at Sandhills Community College is to prepare students for careers in technical fields and for transfer to baccalaureate institutions by completing the general education science requirements for the Associate in Applied Science, Associate in Arts, Associate in Fine Arts, and Associate in Science degree programs. The department offers courses in anatomy and physiology, astronomy, biology, botany, chemistry, geology, golf course management, landscape gardening, microbiology, physics, and zoology.
