The public is invited to “Hamilton: the Man, the Moment, and the Music.” This free “Return to the Classroom” event, offered by the SCC Foundation, will be on Tuesday, March 27 at 3 p.m. in Owens Auditorium at Sandhills Community College.
“This promises to be one of the most unusual “Return to the Classroom” events we have ever undertaken,” said President John Dempsey. “We will use lecture, music, video, and even a performance by several of our students to make this presentation one you will not want to miss.
Jennifer Dail, director of donor relations adds, “Alexander Hamilton is a name on everyone’s lips these days – as one of the authors of the Federalist Papers, as our first Treasury Secretary, as the subject of the most explosive and acclaimed musical to hit Broadway in fifty years. Our presentation will acquaint you with all phases of the man Lin-Manuel Miranda has called the “Ten Dollar Founding Father.” “
A reception will be held in the auditorium courtyard afterwards.
