There has never been a better time to be a nurse. Did you know that by the year 2020, there will be an estimated shortage of 800,000 nurses? With the world population living longer and needing more care, the healthcare field is one of the best places to get a job and will likely stay that way for many years to come.
In addition, nursing is a highly regarded profession. A Gallup Poll announced that the public voted nurses number one for “honesty and ethical standards of various professions.”
Sandhills offers Associate Degree Nursing, a diploma in Practical Nursing, and a Nursing Assistant program.
Nursing Application Deadlines for Fall 2013 Entry
A second consideration will be held for both the ADN and PN programs.
Associate Degree Nursing: Stage I must be completed and all new transcripts submitted to the Registrar’s office by May 23, 2013. Stage II worksheets will be accepted starting May 23, 2014 and must be received by 4 PM on May 29, 2013.
Practical Nursing: Stage I must be completed and all new transcripts submitted to the Registrar’s office by June 4, 2013. Stage II worksheets will be accepted starting June 5, 2013 and must be received by 4 PM on June 13, 2013.
Previously submitted worksheets will not be reviewed. All applicants must submit a new Stage II worksheet. Worksheets are available online or in the Nursing Department in Kennedy 125.
