The field of engineering technology is challenging and well-paying and has evolved into a high-tech industry. Opportunities will be best for individuals with an associate degree or extensive job training in surveying and architectural and civil engineering technologies.

The demand for engineering technicians within the U.S. should continue to grow —particularly in the environmental, civil and industrial specialties. Competitive pressures will force companies to improve and update manufacturing facilities and product designs, resulting in more jobs for engineering technicians.

Our Programs

The Department of Engineering Technologies at Sandhills Community College offers various degrees and certificates enabling individuals to enter the workforce working in civil engineering, surveying or architecture.

You will be provided with current technology and comprehensive training. All aspects of both programs are taught using a combination of classroom instruction with hands-on application.
