The North Carolina Community College System data warehouse has been developed to give college and system office personnel access to state-level information. This information includes student enrollments, faculty and staff employment, student and personnel diversity, updated FTE reports, and enrollment by program.

Each appendix draws its data from any of four universes: Continuing Education Student, Course/FTE, Curriculum Student, and Staff.

• The Continuing Education Student Universe has data related to the students in the continuing education programs. This universe has detailed information on each student and has the student's ID as a common element.
• The Course/FTE Universe has data related to the courses offered at a community college and the membership hour information reported on each course. This universe is the source of all FTE data. Information on curriculum and continuing education courses is stored in this universe.
• The Curriculum Student Universe has data related to the students in the curriculum programs area. Like continuing education student, this universe has detailed information on each student. Each set of data has the student's ID number as a common element. Information about the student attendance, program completions, school performance, and financial aid awards are contained in this universe.
• The Staff Universe contains information on the faculty and staff employed at each community college as of October 1 of each year. This information is at a detailed level and contains salary information on full-time and less than full-time employees.
