The mission of Boyd Library is to serve the students and faculty of
Sandhills Community College.

As part of the Boyd Library mission, the role of the Library
Literacy Committee is to assist in selecting books and videos to
aid students with literacy skills and developing adequate
library resources for SCC
students in the following areas: new readers, developmental, GED,
ESL and displaced workers who need to further develop
reading, writing, and verbal skills for potential employment/career
opportunities.
