Forklift Operator Class Begins in April at the Hoke Center

Train for a new job skill in April. Sandhills Community College’s Hoke Center will be offering a “Forklift Operator” class on Friday, April 26 from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday, April 27 from 8 a.m.-Noon.

Participants successfully completing this class will be eligible for the forklift operator’s license. Topics to be presented include the basic design of lift trucks, stabilization of trucks, maintenance, repair costs and safety aspects in operation. The cost is $75 plus the cost of the text.

The SCC Continuing Education Career Training division at Sandhills Community College is a perfect local resource for adult learners who want to improve workplace skills, achieve job certification or recertification, improve employment marketability or explore new opportunities.

Seats are still available for this class. To register in person, stop by the Sandhills Hoke Center at 1110 E. Central Drive in Raeford. You can also register by phone at (910) 695-3980. Registration hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Fridays 8 a.m. until noon.

The SCC Continuing Education team can also customize courses to meet specific needs of a business or industry, provide resources to assist in developing new training initiatives or help maintain and support current efforts. Courses can be held at convenient times for the business and its employees at any SCC location, business, or other convenient location.
