The relationship between the North Carolina Community College System and the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction began in 1963 when the Community College System created Adult High School and GED programs. In 1983 Huskins and Dual Enrolled Programs allowed high school students to enroll in college courses while in high school. In 2003 and then in 2007, Early College High Schools and Earn & Learn Online, respectively, enabled high school students to earn an associate's degree while in high school. The following resources provide program administrators, faculty, and counselors useful tools for the Dual Enrolled, Early College High School, Huskins, and Learn & Earn Online Programs.
