Electrical Training Classes Begin September 11

The Advanced Manufacturing program at Sandhills Community College offers high-tech, in-demand career training through state-of-the-art equipment designed to meet the growing demand for skilled workers. Through partnerships with local employers, the Advanced Manufacturing Program aligns class offerings and curriculum to provide employers a pipeline of skilled workers with job-specific skills.

In “Electrical Level I,” using the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) curriculum, students learn the basic theory and practice of the electrical trade. Offered in partnership with the Sandhills Association of Electrical Contractors, this course is taught by NCCER-certified trainers and overseen by a master NCCER trainer. After successful completion, students are qualified to receive the NCCER Electrician Level 1 Certification, inclusion on the NCCER National Registry for electricians, and entry-level employment.

“Electrical Level I” will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Sept 11-April 9 from 6-9 p.m. The cost is $185 plus the cost of text.

“Electrical Level II” builds upon the concepts and skills acquired in the NCCER Electrical Level I course. Successful completion qualifies students to receive the NCCER Electrician Level II Certification and inclusion on the NCCER National Registry for Electricians. The prerequisite is successful completion of “NCCER Electrical Level I.”

“Electrical Level II” will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Sept 11-April 9 from 6-9 p.m. The cost is $185 plus the cost of text.

“Electrical Level III” builds upon the concepts and skills acquired in the NCCER Electrical Levels I & II courses. Successful completion qualifies students to receive the NCCER Electrician Level III Certification and inclusion on the NCCER National Registry for Electricians. The prerequisites are successful completion of NCCER Electrical Levels I & II.

The prerequisites for the class are successful completion of NCCER Electrical Levels I, II, & III.

Seats are still available for these Advanced Manufacturing classes. To register in person, stop by the Sandhills Community College Continuing Education office located on the first floor of Van Dusen Hall. You may also register by phone with a credit card at (910) 695-3980. Registration hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Fridays 8 a.m. until noon.
