Radiography Admission
Information
Stage I: Complete Stage I as soon as possible-date of
qualification is based on completion of Stage I and seating is limited.
- Apply
to Sandhills
Community College. Applications are available in the
Student Services Office or online at www.sandhills.edu
- Designate
Radiography as a major
- Request
an official copy of your high school transcript or GED be sent in a sealed
envelope to the admission office.
- Request
official transcripts from previous college(s) sent to Admissions.
- Take a
placement test. The ACCUPLACER test
is offered on a walk-in basis at the Learning Resources Center (LRC)
located in Boyd Library. A testing
ticket, issued by the Admissions Office, photo ID, and $7 are
required. Sandhills also accepts
ASSET, COMPASS, SAT and ACT scores from tests taken within the past 5
years.
- Place
into English 111
- Place
out of Math 070
- Submit a transcript from High School or College indicating a grade "C" or better in Anatomy/Physiology and Physics.
- Attend
SCC New Student Orientation and meet with advisor to course plan.
Stage II: After completing Stage I and accepted
into the Radiography Program the student will need to complete the following
steps:
- Meet
with Radiography advisor to course plan and discuss program.
- Attend
Radiography summer orientation.
- Complete
Drug Screen and Criminal background check before entry.
- Provide
documentation of current CPR certification.
- Submit
a satisfactory medical examination report before entry.
