Cosmetology comes from
the Greek word kosmetikos, meaning "skilled in the use of cosmetics"
and it is defined as the art and science of beautifying and improving
the skin, nails and hair and the study of cosmetics and their
application. Sandhills Community College offer all disciplines of
cosmetology and many employment opportunities.
The salon industry
grosses around $50 billion dollars per year in revenue and to get what
you want out of a career in the field you must make the most of your
education.
