Each Transfer Student must complete the following before being registered into the SCC Cosmetology Program:
1. Have all transcripts sent to SCC and to the Cosmetology Dept. The
requests are in student services. The transcript sent to the department
should include the number of clock hours, the test that have been taken
with documentation of their scores and the number of live model and
mannequin performances that have been completed.
2. Each transfer student must purchase a Milady Standard
Textbook 2004 edition and the kit that goes with the COS segment in
which they are registering.
3. All students entering the Cosmetology program must
take a written and practical evaluation to access what classes should
be taken to graduate from our program.
4. After the assessment has been made, the student should
then be registered into the program. 5. Each student must complete 500
hours in the Cosmetology program when transferring from their original
school, regardless of the number of hours they have completed, prior to
testing/licensure at the NC State Board of Cosmetic Art.
Transfer Students will only be accepted in the Fall and Spring Semesters if seating permits.
